To ensure that we develop even more highly competitive products, we undertake market research and other studies.
Plans and proposals

We prepare plans and proposals based on concepts presented to us by auto manufacturers.
Design

Using CAD tools, we prepare designs on an independent basis.
Design data is forwarded to all divisions, and designs are worked up reflecting their feedback.
CAE-based analysis

Utilizing computer-aided engineering systems, planned production methods, structural aspects, materials, etc. are evaluated and improved upon, without producing physical prototypes.

Prototype research

Prototypes are produced after precision has been thoroughly refined through CAE-based analysis, and such issues as straightforward production processes and specifications intended to heighten product appeal are studied.
Collision testing

A variety of tests are conducted using dynamic testing equipment.
Collision safety can be empirically verified.
Endurance testing

A variety of endurance tests are carried out, from those involving the strength and endurance of the products themselves, to their endurance in a variety of different environments.
Evaluation

The design specifications of products are checked from many different perspectives, and the final evaluation results in feedback for the relevant divisions. Any newly required actions are undertaken at this point.


Achieving even greater product appeal


LPL System helps to develop products with even greater appeal and individuality

TS TECH has introduced its "LPL System" to support new product development. An LPL (Large Project Leader) is put in place to manage all divisions and overseas offices associated with a product development project, and it provides total management from planning proposals through to commercial production. The LPL serves as the point of contact with the client and, leading all divisions, it works towards the development of an appealing new product that is unique to TS TECH.


TS TECH was the first to introduce dynamic testing equipment to Japan, and now uses two pieces of dynamic testing equipment to gain experimental evidence of collision safety

To develop products with proven levels of superior safety, the Safety Technical Center has installed two pieces of dynamic testing equipment and is conducting tests on collision safety performance from a variety of perspectives. The new dynamic testing equipment that we installed in 2004 was a first for Japan, and is able to create conditions (shock wave types) very close to those experienced during an actual vehicle collision. This allows us to perform tests and evaluations with a much greater degree of accuracy. Using two pieces of dynamic testing equipment, TS TECH is conducting collision tests of individual seats, so it can guarantee the safety of the seats themselves.



To be doubly sure of product quality outcomes, we carry out thorough evaluations of materials

TS TECH thoroughly evaluates the materials it uses to ensure its products are of the highest possible quality. Cloths, resins, urethanes, steels, adhesives - all are tested as raw materials to form part of a product and as elements in finished goods, and only the most suitable materials are carefully selected.
Product quality is doubly assured, not only in evaluations of the product itself, but also through a complete evaluation of the materials used.
