The core business of TS TECH is the development and manufacture of seats and other automobile interior products. While most auto parts makers specialize in the manufacture of specific products, TS
TECH handles all kinds of automobile interior products, including seats, door trim and roof trim. We can also undertake package production of a combination of these items.
We develop and manufacture resin-based products for motorcycles, including seats, fenders, and more. We do business with virtually all the major motorcycle manufacturers in Japan. We are also utilizing our seat development technologies to expand our business into new fields, including seats for construction machinery, and nursing beds.
To serve Japanese auto makers moving production facilities overseas, TS TECH
has actively pursued a global expansion strategy since 1977, when it first established
a presence in North America. In recent years we have strengthened our supply
capabilities throughout Asia, including China, which has achieved astounding
economic growth. The group now has a global network consisting of 34 subsidiaries
in 11 countries, including Japan. We are working to further establish a worldwide
business and strengthen our global competitiveness, by promoting more local production,
setting up complementary systems based on alliances with local subsidiaries,
and through the signing of technical assistance agreements with local parts manufacturers
in other areas.
Against a background of the continuing evolution of technologies in the automobile industry, parts makers too must be able to offer a wider range of high-level technical skills. From its Technical Center base in Tochigi Prefecture, TS TECH is actively pursuing research and development activities aimed at producing new technologies and new products. Utilizing the wide-ranging technical strengths we have accumulated thanks to our position as a general manufacturer, we have been able to develop our own highly competitive products.
Furthermore, we utilize the information we gain from our overseas production activities to build technical strengths that are accepted around the world.
TS TECH will continue to boldly aim for world class technical development capabilities, while keeping a close watch on the future of the automobile industry and pushing for the deeper and broader evolution of future technologies. |
